Ediathon at Museum of the Risorgimento (Turin, 24-27 Sep 2025)

Condividiamo con voi l’iniziativa “Wikipedia incontra il Risorgimento. La prima editathon per il Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano”, organized by HighESt Lab – Big Data and AI Lab with Wikimedia Italia, in collaboration with Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano and Department of Historical Studies, University of Turin.

The initiative was born from the need to have open and quality data, essential to develop Artificial Intelligence projects in the context of cultural heritage.

On September 24th at 2.30pm - 6.00pm 15 students and doctoral students in History, Cultural Heritage and Digital Humanities will attend a short training course, that aims to bring participants closer to the principles of free knowledge promoted by Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects.

The experience will end on September 27th with a day (10.00 am - 5.00pm) at the National Museum of the Risorgimento, during which you will be able to participate in a guided tour and an editathon to create or enrich the Wikipedia entries relating to the Risorgimento and the Museum's heritage, with which HighESt Lab is currently experimenting as part of the national Doctorate in Heritage Science.
